LightSpeed Mallets was started out of a desire to create a marimba mallet that would keep us playing for as long as possible!

 

With over 85 years of combined playing experience among LightSpeed Mallets' three founders (Rebecca, Andre and Wendy), we decided it was time to create a high performance mallet that was a combination of conventional, wooden-handled mallets and the more refined, technical mallets played by orchestral marimbists. We wanted a lightweight, ergonomic, well balanced and strong mallet, appropriate for serious, performing marimbists.

LightSpeed Mallets are being used by marimba players of all ages and abilities, in student groups and professional performing ensembles all over the United States as well as Canada and Zimbabwe.
